An aerial specialist with the capacity to take spectacular marks, Asher Eastham's exploits throughout the season were enough to earn him a state draft combine invite, despite not making the Vic Country squad. The Gippsland Power utility mostly settled up forward, where he kicked goals in each of his first nine games en route to a season tally of 24.

Eastham most often catches the eye with exciting glimpses or short purple patches of form. His highlight reel is terrific, featuring overhead marks at full stretch and classy finishes on goal. He is a tricky matchup inside 50 with his combination of good speed off the mark and a spring-heeled leap - not to mention his reach and clean set of hands.

A late-season switch to defence also proved Eastham's versatility. There, he was able to read the ball in flight and peel off to take excellent intercept marks, while also swinging forward when required. Eastham will find improvement once he builds a better running capacity to roam further up the ground and help connect the lines. It'll make him a more consistent four-quarter performer, too.
