SUMMARY: The East Fremantle Football Club’s Rookie of the Year is one of the most exciting players in this year’s draft pool, being a mark of the week contender in nearly every game. Originally from Mullewa (about 100km east of Geraldton), Curley made the move to Perth in 2018 to play football at a higher level and the move paid dividends. In 13 games for the Sharks’ Colts’ team, Curley averaged 10 possessions, four marks, two tackles and won the Sharks goalkicking with 25 goals (fourth in the competition). He also made his WAFL League debut against Swan Districts in round 17 and showed glimpses of his potential, especially when he took a huge pack mark in the opening quarter. The club that picks up Curley will attain a player who boasts extraordinary athleticism, excellent skills, a strong marking ability and has some serious “X-factor”.
