Barwick has been a superb player at Tasmanian State League level for many years, using her speed and tenacity to impact the game for her side. She opted to move to South Australia this year to test herself in the SANFL Women's and has not looked out of place, quite often on a wing for the Panthers. Barwick is not a massive ball-winner but is able to work into her own space to find the ball, and has brought her tenacity to the contest.
