PROFILE:

Elise Cook is a natural footballer who has the smarts, skills and clean hands that standout in whatever role she plays. The GWV Rebels midfielder started in that role but ended up off half-back a fair bit to fit in with the Vic Country side and find her place there. At Talent League level, Cook averaged 14.5 disposals, 2.1 marks, 5.4 tackles and 2.3 clearances, showing her defensive prowess and work rate.

The main knock on Cook is her speed as well as athleticism, but if clubs look past that element and can find a role for her, she has some very nice traits. In particular, extracting the ball from the stoppage and dishing out to free teammates, while picking the right option more often than not going forward. Though defensively minded, Cook can impact offensively as well to set up scoring opportunities for her teammates.

Cook played all three games for Vic Country off half-back, averaging 8.3 disposals and 4.0 tackles, and while not a massive accumulator, worked hard and covered the ground well. Has the potential to match it with senior bodies too thanks to her competitive nature and work rate.
