Despite having an injury-interrupted campaign that restricted Isabella McDonough to just one national championships match, the Brisbane Lions Academy member was one of the most consistent players through the Coates Talent League Girls. She stood up to average an impressive 20.3 disposals, 2.8 marks and 11.0 tackles, playing between midfield and attack. She plays taller than her 164cm height, with great strength one-on-one and it shows in her defensive pressure. She transitions the ball quickly, and her performances through the competition were enough for Brisbane to nominate her in the AFLW Draft.
