Davies is a no fuss, reliable and strong key defender who thrives in one-on-one contests and rarely gets beaten over the course of four quarters. The Vic Country representative has improved with each performance across the 2021 season as well, seemingly becoming more dangerous as an interceptor each game, whilst also adding to his versatility with some time spent up in the forward half of the ground where his strong marking and body work shone.

Having represented Vic Country at Under 16 level in 2019, Davis repeated the feat as an Under 19 this season after putting in promising performances for Dandenong and in the APS Football competition with Haileybury College. His reading of the play and clean skills are terrific for a player of his size, and make him a defender who can play a variety of roles inside his own 50-metre arc.
