Katelyn Rosenzweig

Leagues: SANFL Women's League, AFLW, Vflw

Central District tall forward Katelyn Rosenzweig returned from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in 2023 to pick up where she left off in 2021 and play a key part in the Bulldogs' SANFL Women's premiership season. After missing all of 2022, Rosenzweig returned with a bang, slotting 23 goals in 15 games, winning the competition leading goalkicker and providing a presence inside 50.

The Dogs lacked talls inside 50 last year, but added returning height with 'Rosie' and Chantel Reynolds providing a one-two punch. Rosenzweig kicked a goal in all bar four of her games, including one haul of four goals against Sturt in a narrow win and two bags of three.

Her game is underpinned by her strength and contested marking, showing fantastic physicality inside 50 and leading out to half-forward. Boasting a penetrating kick, Rosenzweig can convert goals from long-range and do it consistently, having been a former Crows draftee without playing a game back in 2019.

Rosenzweig has a 1-wood in her game being a contested marking and goalkicking forward, but she does it as well as anyone else. She might not be athletic - with her speed and agility lower than some other forwards - but she makes up for it with her hands, presence and consistency.
