One of, if not the best 19-year-old tall defender in the country, Evans had a remarkable year to put her name on the map. The East Fremantle talent went from being in and out of the Sharks' side last season to being a fully fledged member of the back five and coming second in the team's best and fairest. Her confidence grew as the season went on, and she was a real thorn in opposition forward coach's sides.

Evans is a natural athlete who was born in the United Kingdom but moved to Australia when she was three, hoping to follow in the footsteps of her father who played professional soccer. Boasting strong hands and a natural ability to read the play, Evans routinely clunked some huge marks. With endurance rare for a player of her size, and her strength/athleticism allowing her to play on talls and smalls, she is one to watch.

Though she has come from a long way back and still is developing her groundlevel work and kicking efficiency, Evans has plenty of potential to further improve. Watch for the young tall to go from strength-to-strength in the future.
