PROFILE:

Olivia Fogarty has put all her eggs in the football basket over the last two years as she chases her AFLW dream coming from a soccer background. Having gained club interest last year and in 2024, Fogarty again went around for Ainslie in the AFL Canberra. There she impressed in the tri-colours as that forward/midfielder showing off her agility and smarts close to goal.

Fogarty also got the opportunity to represent her state, and got the confirmation as one of the best players in her league. Since that season finished, the Canberra native has moved down to Victoria as a train-on player with Hawthorn in a bid to earn a spot on an AFLW list.

In terms of her game, while Fogarty is still improving some fundamentals and adapting to the physicality, she does have the balance of smarts and speed that enables her to create a lot of damage on the scoreboard directly and indirectly. At 26 years-old, she is a mature-age recruit who could make an immediate impact.
