Olivia Fogarty is a small forward/midfielder who is a recent convert from soccer to Aussie rules. Playing for Ainslie Football Club in AFL Canberra, Fogarty averaged around two goals per game in that competition, finishing with 17 for the season. She also tasted VFLW action or the Western Bulldogs in May, where she ran out for back-to-back games.

Across the two games, Fogarty averaged 12.5 disposals and 2.0 marks, holding her own against experienced opponents. Having missed parts of the season due to back and ankle injuries, Fogarty returned to finish off the AFL Canberra season and kick two goals to be among the best in Ainslie's 59-point win over Belconnen Magpies.

Her best game of the year came in the AFL Canberra included a 39-disposal and nine-clearance outing playing through the midfield. For the season, Fogarty averaged 17.1 disposals, 3.3 marks, 2.7 clearances, 2.1 tackles and averaged 1.9 goals per game.

The 25-year-old 163cm draft hopeful was picked up as an AFLW train-on player for GWS GIANTS, with her forward craft - including her marking and set shot goalkicking - as well as her footy IQ and penetrating kick considered among her strengths. She is still new to the code and is aiming to improve on her physicality.

Attracting interest from a number of AFLW clubs, Fogarty is eligible as a Category-B Rookie selection. Given her season and upside, she is one who might get the chance to further her Aussie rules career.
