Northern Knights skipper Phoebe Hargreaves is a smart and slick small forward who does her best work around the ball, but provides a similar level of defensive pressure and footy IQ wherever she plays. Hargreaves is the younger sister of Richmond's Zoe, and though smaller than her sibling, came through the same pathway and represented Vic Metro at Under 16s and Under 18s level.

Hargreaves has natural talent with her kicking and clean hands a highlight with the ball, and she also works hard without it. Only light, Hargreaves does apply plenty of defensive pressure, and that suits for a small forward. However she also has far more impact as a midfielder as she reads the game well off hands, gets into great stoppage positions and then hits targets out of congestion.

In many ways, she has some outstanding midfield traits, but due to her size and strength is almost certainly a small forward of the future and therefore that is likely her role. The Northern Knights top-ager has the talent, it is just applying it consistently, and while she does have those areas to work on, she has shown when at her best getting her hands on the ball, she can be very damaging.
