Riley Weatherill is a marking forward out of the Eastern Ranges who enjoyed an ultra-consistent season. Though he did not get many opportunities to go to that next level at Vic Metro - he played just the one game - he still had the 11 disposals, two marks and kicked a goal for the Big V. Weatherill's bread and butter is his forward craft, which is demonstrated by shrewd leading patterns, strong hands, and pure set shot striking.

Once he can get space to lead into, he is almost always going to clunk the grab whether there are bodies in front or under him. His consistency of 37 goals in 15 games - and only once held goalless - is testament to his ability to convert his chances. Weatherill is not as versatile as other forwards, with only some minor patches in forward ruck contests, while his ground balls are another area of improvement. Still, a late draft prospect whose body of work and improvement impressed.
