A late call-up to the South Australian state draft combine hints at AFL interest in Central District key forward Tallan Rosenzweig. Making up part of the Bulldogs' dangerous tall targets inside 50, the 18-year-old most often plays deepest where he clunks contested marks and gets loose on the lead.

Rosenzweig's leading patterns are terrific, as he reacts to the play further afield and times his moves well. When unable to get separation, he often uses his superior reach to reel the ball in and is capable of absorbing contact while doing so. It's why he has so many shots on goal, so frequently.

While 35 goals in 16 SANFL Under 18s games is nothing to scoff at, Rosenzweig certainly could have had plenty more. He booted 23 behinds and saw several set shot attempts either fall short or fade out of bounds, so coming up with a reliable routine will help him take full advantage of his forward 50 dominance.

Rosenzweig's contested marking numbers are also quite strong, though he is lightly framed and will benefit from adding size to his frame if senior football comes calling. Doing so will allow him to become a more imposing marking presence and powerful athlete, potentially who can venture further up the field.
