Part of the strong Oakleigh Chargers side, Teagan Murtic reinvented herself from a pure inside ball-winner to being able to play just about anywhere on the field. She possesses a high work rate and has a well-rounded athletic base which is above average without being elite, and that enables her to match up against most opponents.

When playing on-ball, Murtic has a consistent approach to the way she goes about her business, possessing clean hands on the inside and a fierce attack on the ball or opponent. She applies the pressure she needs to, and while still needing to add strength, will attack anything with vigour. Usually a first or second possession winner, Murtic does her best work in traffic feeding to others.

Making the Vic Metro squad, Murtic was able to play outside the midfield and instead spend time off half-back and even drift forward where she kicked a goal. Though the Chargers talent has only kicked the three goals across her 24 games with Oakleigh, she is able to set others up through her transitioning from inside to outside and going forward.
