State Academy notes: 2024 WAFLW – Round 9
WHILE either injury or resting meant there were less State Academy members in Round 9 of the WAFL Women’s, each of the four matches still featured a number of the extended state squad. We took note of how those players performed, with all notes the opinion of the individual writer.

WESTERN Australia’s State Academy members continued their seasons for Round 8 of the WAFL Women’s, with just one more round until the league-wide bye. While Zippy Fish was among those not out there, the other two West Australian AFLW Academy members stood up in their games.

A STANDALONE blockbuster match between last year’s top two sides at the end of the regular season takes place tomorrow, with South Fremantle hosting Claremont. While neither team ultimately took home silverware in 2023, both sides will be back with a vengeance to go better in 2024.
