TONIGHT begins a new era of English elite netball, as England seeks to professionalize its system and catch up to the other dominant countries of world netball.

Tonight the Netball Super League’s (NSL’s) NXT Gen League kicks off, and will serve as the Under 23 feeder league for the NSL and a bridge between the Premier League system and the NSL.

However, it will not just be players aged 23 in the competition, with all clubs allowed to have a certain number of players over that age on their list. This is why fans will see players like Jade Clarke, Lucy Howells and Frankie Wells in the league.

There will also be plenty of players with international experience in the league, including Scotland’s Niamh McCall, Wales’ Nansi Kuti and Ireland’s Corey McGlynn.

All matches will be streamed live via the England Netball TV site, with single match passes available for £5.99, or a yearly pass for £39.99 for England Netball members or £49.99 for non members.
