RECAP | Nations Series Day 6

THE 2023 Mens Netball Nations Series came to a close yesterday, with Australia emerging victorious.

The front runners all tournament, the Australians kept their tournament undefeated status in tact with a win in the Gold Medal match over New Zealand to win the tournament.

In the decider, the Australians were the first to take the lead, and they began to build from there. They went on to win comfortably again like they have all week, this time by 33 goals.

Earlier in the day, the Bronze Medal went to tournament hosts Singapore. In what may have felt like déjà vu from earlier in the week, their match with Hong Kong was tight but the tournament hosts ultimately prevailed by six goals.

It however was not the tightest affair of the day.

The first match of the day was the battle for fifth and it went to extra time. Malaysia and England kept things tight, but ultimately Malaysia prevailed by two goals, denying England its first win of the week.

Nations Series Day 6 Results

Battle for 5th – Malaysia (52) defeated England (50)

Bronze Medal Match – Singapore (47) defeated Hong Kong (41)
