Men’s Premier Division – Round 9
23/10/19

In the reverse fixture of Round 2, Ariels will get a second opportunity to fight the Pasifika Sharks after going down by 15 goals last time they met, while Geelong will look to restart their unbeaten streak with a second win over DDNA, after beating them by a 24 goal margin in Round 2. Meanwhile, Southern Seahawks will look to go one better over Sirens Netball after being outlasted in their first clash of the season, especially after the Sirens went down to Pasifika Sharks last round.

St Therese will look to go two-up on Wednesday when they taken on Melbourne City Blackhawks for the second time this season. Their first time around saw the Saints dominate across the court, finding valuable turnover ball and creating plenty of pressure to pile onto the Blackhawks. Young gun Tristan Comans put on a show last week with his athleticism and versatility so expect another big match from him while Riley Richardson played a key role in centre back in Round 2, creating and finding plenty of space to spread the ball around the court and open up options through attack with Josh Clavarino at the post. Clavarino hasn’t played in a few weeks however, opening up space for the Blackhawks to take advantage of opportunities in defence with James Matthews, Tim Marshall and Simon Cartwright all able to have an impact with hands over pressure and aerial ability to boot. Meanwhile, Matthew Doyle and Joel Gosbell are sure to put in a hard contest through the midcourt to work the ball forward and away from the hands of Dylan Nexhip in goal keeper.
