ATP TOUR
ABN AMRO WORLD TENNIS TOURNAMENT:
Rotterdam, Netherlands | ATP 500 | Hard
Czech qualifier Jiri Lehecka is the lone player outside the top three seeds heading into the ATP 500 event in Rotterdam. The rising talent continued his run at the major event with a three-set victory over Italian young gun Lorenzo Musetti. He now takes on top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas who defeated Australian Alex de Minaur, whilst the second and third seeds in Andrey Rublev and Felix Auger-Aliassime meet in the other semi-final having won their respective quarter finals.

DALLAS OPEN:

An all-American semi-final lineup awaits those in Dallas after the three remaining international representatives were eliminated in favour of home nation heroes. In three of the four matches, the higher seeds won out, with second seed Reilly Opelka, third seed John Isner and fourth seed Jenson Brooksby all triumphing in straight sets. Top seed Taylor Fritz had a shock loss, but it came from compatriot and seventh seed Marcos Giron.

ARGENTINA OPEN:

Three of the four Argentina Open quarter finals were completed overnight, with top seed Casper Ruud knocking off Argentinian Federico Coria in straight sets. He was joined in the final four by Italian Lorenzo Sonego who defeated Spanish veteran Fernando Verdasco, whilst Sonego’s compatriot Fabio Foginini was not as lucky, going down to another Argentinian in sixth seed Federico Delbonis. The all-Argentinian quarter final between top seed Diego Schwartzman and qualfiier Francisco Cerundolo takes place first thing tomorrow.

WTA TOUR
ST PETERSBURG LADIES TROPHY:
St Petersburg, Russia | WTA 500 | Hard
Despite the St Petersburg draw allowing a number of upsets over the journey, the top two seeds remain heading into the semi-finals. Greek number one seed Maria Sakkari, and second seed Estonian Anett Kontaveit both won through against fellow seeds Elise Mertens and Belinda Bencic in identical 7-6 6-2 scorelines. Meanwhile seventh seed Jelena Ostapenko survived a three-set thriller against unseeded Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich, and Irina-Camelia Begu became the last remaining unseeded player at the WTA 500 event.
