IN what has been a challenging year for everyone, Draft Central would like to thank everyone for the support throughout 2020 in what was a remarkable year for the organisation. Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, Draft Central was able to expand its coverage and increase its reach across the country far greater than any previous year. Thanks to the support of you, the readers, listeners and watchers, Draft Central was able to stand up in a tough time.
We wish everyone a happy holidays, and while we will be having some content go up over the break reviewing some of the most memorable moments of the year, we look forward to a massive 2021 where we will aim to go bigger and better.
In 2021, we will see the return of Victorian football to join that of other states who were able to get out on the park in 2020. The increased coverage of South Australian, Western Australian, Tasmanian and Queensland football will remain, while providing the indepth Victorian coverage that Aussie Rules Draft Central readers have come to expect from the brand.
Like in past years, we will have plenty of interviews and features which will start from the testing events kicking off from as early as January, with additional content coming via the Final Siren Podcast, and our YouTube channel. We will have extensive draft content throughout the year, and increased draft focus leading up to the AFL Women’s Draft in 2021.
The content will flow from January where we will lead into a massive month of women’s football in February where the AFL Women’s and state leagues all take place. Draft Central will hone in on the next big stars of the AFLW through the Under 18s program, and look forward to both the AFL and AFLW Under 18s Championships.
A special addition will be the increased coverage via our YouTube channel, and we look forward to sharing a number of huge developments in 2021. We like to thank everyone for the support in downloading the 2020 AFL Draft Guide which more than quadrupled its total downloads from the previous year, and we look forward to going bigger and better in 2021.
