Game Sense podcast – A women’s football pathway podcast

INTRODUCING Game Sense podcast, the newest women’s Australian rules football podcast thanks to Rookie Me Central.

Hosted by Chief Editor Peter Williams alongside women’s football analyst Alyce Collett, Game Sense aims to bring you behind the scenes with the women’s development pathways and state leagues. From round reviews and previews, to player focuses and interviews, Game Sense will take a unique dive into everything happening across the country.

Previously, Rookie Me Central combined both the male and female pathways through their other podcast Final Siren. The Final Siren podcast will remain and hone in on the boys pathways, whilst Game Sense podcast will be dedicated to the girls pathways, allowing both pathways to have equal share and air time for your listening pleasure.

EPISODE 1

In Episode 1 alone, we spoke to Western Australia’s Under 19s captain and two-time premiership player with Peel Thunder, Jaide Britton, as well as Glenelg’s Jessica Bates and South Adelaide’s Jaslynne Smith.

Aside from hearing their unique and fascinating stories, Game Sense podcast also previews Glenelg and South Adelaide’s 2022 season, a trio of AFL Women’s clubs in Collingwood, Gold Coast and Melbourne, and hear from Britton about how the reigning back-to-back premiers, Peel Thunder are doing ahead of next year.

GOING FORWARD

Throughout 2022, Game Sense podcast will wrap up the weekly action across the state leagues around the country, but do more than simply tell you results. Having caught up on the action, the Rookie Me Central team will detail some of the standouts, and chat to the people directly involved. We aim to bring you information you cannot find anywhere else, and prepare you for not only the 2022 AFL Women’s Draft, but into the future.

The first episode of Game Sense podcast will be available on Spotify, Anchor, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Overcast over the next 24 hours.
