Rookie Me Central’s 2022 AFLW Draft Guide is also in the process of being created, with in-depth detail about each of the AFLW Draft prospects so you can get to know the next crop of AFL Women’s talent. The expansion of four clubs – Essendon, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide and Sydney – means that there will be more players drafted and living out their dreams than ever before.
Starting from Monday, there will be multiple draft profiles going up on the site seven days a week which will detail each individual player, as well as their strengths and areas of improvement. Additionally those who played through the AFLW Under 18 Championships will have some key statistics, as well as those with stats in available state leagues.
The 2022 AFLW Draft profiles will begin with those players whose primary seasons are over, which are largely Victorians and Tasmanians, with the NAB League and national championships done and dusted. Some will still filter through the VFL but with plenty of footbal behind them, their profiles can get underway.
Meanwhile some of the South Australian prospects seasons have come to a close with their respective sides eliminated from the SANFLW finals, and will continue over the coming weeks. For the West Australian, NSW-ACT and Queensland prospects, they will be likely completed before their seasons are done seeing as the AFLW Draft could take place before some state leagues are finished.
As always, the lead-up to the AFLW Draft – when the date is announced – will have plenty of content across the board. From team previews to podcasts and player positional comparisons, there will be no shortage of content on the draft from the number one place to source your AFLW Draft content.
