Top prospect cracks RMC Medal top 10

TOP AFL Draft prospect Harley Reid has broken back into the Rookie Me Central Medal top 10 after bagging four goals and two votes in his return to the Coates Talent League. Meanwhile, Colby McKercher extended his lead atop the charts with another best afield performance.

Reid, whose Bendigo Pioneers went down 64 points on Sunday, currently sits equal-seventh on 16 votes having polled in all four of his games this season. Remarkably, McKercher has received the full five votes in each of his six outings to be the runaway leader.

The Tasmanian is nine votes clear of equal-second duo Zane Duursma and Josh Smillie, who both polled in Round 11. Darcy Wilson and Logan Morris also did so in the same game, while GWV’s George Stevens racked up 44 touches on Saturday to round out the podium push.

A little further down the order, the top 10 has been extended to 12 after Nash King‘s five-vote game for Calder put him level with Jagga Smith and Angus Hastie, who both did not play this past weekend. With representative season in full swing, there may be some surprise bolters up the order in weeks to come.
