WAFLW 24 to Watch in 2024: #8 Natasha Entwistle
BACK for another year, Rookie Me Central’s 24 to Watch in 2024 returns and this year, the focus is on underage players, being those who are yet to have an AFLW Draft chance. For the list of 2024, it will range between players who are predominantly 2006 (top-age) and 2007-born likely to take the WAFL Women’s by storm or set themselves up for the future.
Top-age talent Natasha Entwistle has pieced together a couple of developing years for both East Fremantle in the WAFL Women’s, and for Western Australia at national level. She enters 2024 as one to watch for her ability to create run from defence.

Club: East Fremantle
SUMMARY
Entwistle is a player with scope for versatility, particularly using her run and carry to take the game on, while also bringing the necessary accountability and defensive pressure required. After getting a taste of League action in 2022 where she played three games, Entwistle stepped up for a full season of 14 matches last season, and enjoying premiership success with the Sharks.
In 2023, Entwistle averaged 9.5 disposals, 1.3 marks and 4.3 tackles from her 14 games, and secured her place in the West Australian squad. There, she ran out in all three matches, picking up 13.7 disposals, 1.0 marks and 2.7 rebound 50s per game to showcase the same athletic traits she had at senior level. Her form earned her a place in the Under 17s Futures match where she held her own against the best in her age group with 13 disposals, two marks, three tackles and three rebound 50s in Frankston.
Entwistle’s development from year one to year two at League level was evident last season, and now with the additional confidence of a strong national carnival and Under 17 Futures game behind her, the East Fremantle talent is ready to take her game to another level in 2024.
