Squads named for Victorian Under 18 trials
SQUADS for Sunday’s Victorian Under 18 trials have been announced, with representative hopefuls set to lock horns in a Country-versus-Metro double-header at Chirnside Park. While final teams are yet to be confirmed, 95 players will take the field with dreams of playing in this year’s National Championships.

Game one is scheduled for an 11:00am start, before game two bounces down at 1:30pm. The trial games serve as a major selection tool for the final Vic Country and Vic Metro Under 18 squads. It comes after prospects competed in the first three-week block of Coates Talent League action.
Two Young guns fixtures are also slated for later this month. The yet to be announced squad of over-age players will face Vic Metro on Saturday April 20 at Avalon Airport Oval, before a clash with Vic Country on Sunday April 28 at Windy Hill.
Players not participating in the trial games will still be eligible for selection in the final squads, including a raft of AFL Academy stars who are set to take on Coburg VFL at IKON Park tomorrow. Squad numbers will be added closer to the date – bookmark this article where they will be updated.
