Constable charges to Sandover as Petrevski wins Dhara Kerr

EX-GEELONG talent Charlie Constable has been rewarded for his outstanding WAFL season by taking out the 2025 Sandover Medal. The Perth midfielder averaged more than 30 disposals this season to secure the prestigious gong, while Subiaco star and ex-Dee and Eagle Krstel Petrevski earned the Dhara Kerr Medal.
Constable won the league best and fairest after polling three votes in the final Round 20 match to leapfrog fellow ex-AFL player and current Bulldog Matthew Parker who missed the last game of the season. Parker lead by one vote heading into the round.
Petrevski was a clear WAFLW best and fairest winner after polling five more votes than Perth’s Isabella Shannon. Reigning two-time Dhara Kerr Medallist Jayme Harken finished equal third alongside Claremont teammate Matilda Sergeant and Swan Districts talent Jaime Henry.
Henry’s Swans’ teammate Taylah Edwards took out the leading goalkicker for her remarkable home and away season, while West Perth’s Tyler Keitel booted his way to the Bernie Naylor Medal. Another Falcon in bottom-age star Lexi Strachan took out the Cath Boyce Rising Star Award, while it was a tie in the WAFL with East Fremantle’s Tom Grylls and South Fremantle’s Toby Whan sharing the award.
In the second tier of the state league, Brodie Gray made it a Perth double by winning the Prendergast Medal, while in the Rogers Cup, it was South Fremantle’s Madison Hadley who lifted the Charmaine Rogers Medal. Swan Districts’ Keira Fawcett took out the competition’s leading goalkicker award.
Claremont premiership coach Jack Schwarze won another WAFLW Coach of the Year honour, while South Fremantle’s Craig White was adjudged the WAFL’s leading senior coach with the JJ Leonard Medal.
