Stats Report | 2025/26 NTFL MPL: Round 16
ST MARY’S import Jackson Braunthal filled his boots in Round 16 of the NTFL Men’s Premier League, as the Green Machine notched a thumping win over Darwin. Among his league-high 38 disposals, Braunthal registered top-five hauls for kicks (24), handballs (14), marks (nine), and inside 50s (seven).
>> ROUND WRAP: Tigers roar into second chance spot
Braunthal’s captain Dylan Landt also stuffed the stats sheet, gathering 34 disposals and highs of 26 kicks, 13 clearances, and 10 inside 50s. Saints VFL coup Curtis McCarthy was among the goals too, booting five. Only Southern Districts forward Beau Schwarze outgunned him this weekend.
Schwarze’s bag of seven against Wanderers – who went without a major score for the match – was enough to put him clear atop the competition’s goalkicking charts. Ex-AFL mids Jed Anderson and Quinton Narkle snared three each, while Willie Rioli was one of three to do the same for Tiwi.
Elsewhere, Lucas Gray was a standout for Waratah in its loss to Nightcliff, registering four of his side’s nine goals. The Tigers were served well by Petros Politis, who had a round-high 17 handballs, along with Brandan Parfitt (14) and Mitchell Trewhella (seven clearances) in midfield.
A few players worked overtime in defeat. Bradley Stokes racked up 14 rebound 50s for Darwin, while Joel Hillis and Robert Turnbull laid eight tackles each for Waratah. Jayden Davey also starred in Palmerston’s defeat to Tiwi, notching 30 disposals and 11 rebound 50s.
