2026 Vic Metro AFLW U18s squad confirmed
VIC METRO has locked in its title defence squad for the upcoming AFLW Under 18 Championships as the ‘Big V’ look to make it a three peat at the national carnival. The squad – released individually by the six metropolitan clubs on respective social channels – features 34 players, including five train-on players.
The opening match looms as a stiff one, coming up against Queensland at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday, June 14, before travelling west six days later to tackle Western Australia. Metro concludes its campaign with games against South Australia at Alberton Oval (June 27) and the last match of a triple header at the Kennedy Community Centre in Dingley on July 11.
Amongst the Vic Metro squad are Eastern Ranges midfielders and National Academy members, Brylee Anderson, Emily Rankin and Scout Semple, as well as pick one contender Bailee Martin (Oakleigh Chargers) and bottom-age representative last year, Kiara Boyd (Western Jets). Academy and All Stars representatives, Alli Allen and Maddison Meagher (Northern Knights), Isabella Mazzei (Oakleigh Chargers), and Grace McIntyre and Maya Duane (Sandringham Dragons) are also in the squad.
Alongside Duane who projects as one of the most promising bottom-agers, the likes of Oakleigh pair Cleo Barbakas and Scarlett Bown, Eastern’s April Dye and Calder’s Holly Clough have been named in the main squad.
Eastern Ranges boast a league-high 11 players in the squad – with nine in the main side and two train-ons – while Oakleigh Chargers (seven) and Western Jets (six) are also well represented. The Northern Knights and Sandringham Dragons each have four, with Calder Cannons having two to complete the 2026 squad.
