AFLW DRAFT WATCH
Box Hill’s eye-catching duo of Stasia Stevenson (19 disposals, nine tackles, four clearances and five inside 50s) and Isla Baldwin (19 disposals, dive marks, two clearances and three rebound 50s) were at it again for the Hawks in the win over the Bombers, while Giants Academy member Amelie Prosser-Shaw donned the brown and gold to finish with 11 disposals, two clearances and five rebound 50s.
Carlton’s usual suspects stood up once again with Amy Trindade (27 disposals, five marks, three tackles, four clearances and six inside 50s) having some sort of season alongside Octavia Di Donato (26 disposals, 12 tackles, three clearances, five inside 50s and a goal).
For the Pies, Dominique Carbone lead from the front on her way to 27 disposals, seven tackles, three clearances, seven inside 50s and a goal, while Charlotte Brewer (18 disposals, eight marks and four inside 50s) and Tahlia Sanger (13 disposals, four marks, 10 tackles, three clearances, four inside 50s and a goal) were both impressive over-agers.
In defeat, Abbey Tregellis continues popping up for the Zebras, managing 20 disposals, four tackles, three clearances, two inside 50s and two rebound 50s, while her near-namesake Abby Favell worked tirelessly in Geelong’s loss to the Falcons, accumulating 23 touches, 11 tackles, eight clearances, four inside 50s and three rebound 50s. She was impressive alongside Lily Jordan and Mel Staunton.
Lulu Beatty laid 11 tackles from 13 disposals, three clearances and three inside 50s in the win, while for the Seagulls, Emily Eaves was ridiculous with 14 clearances and seven inside 50s from 19 disposals and nine tackles in Williamstown’s win over Western Bulldogs. Stephanie Asciak was the pick of the VFLW-listed Dogs.
Ex-Bomber Renee Tierney put her hand up for a second chance at AFLW level with 18 disposals, three marks, five tackles, four clearances and a goal, while Alana Barba was terrific on the inside for the Roos.
