PROFILE:

Charlotte Brewer has an array of eye-catching athletic traits that epitomises the modern rebounding half-back. Suiting up for back-to-back premiers Oakleigh Chargers as well as Vic Metro, Brewer is an outside player and she produces some explosive runs turning defence into offence. That balance of speed and agility enables her to create scoring chains for her side.

Brewer's consistent rebounding provides a transitional run for whatever side she represents, and that speed out of the back half immediately puts the opposition on the back foot. At the State Draft Combine, Brewer clocked a blistering time of 3.128 seconds, as well as an 8.68-second agility test, the second fastest on the day behind Lavinia Cox's record-breaking performance.

Though a consistent outside speedster, Brewer does have to develop her contested side more both in the air and at ground level. She is best with the ball in space, with just 18.6 per cent of her groundballs contested at Coates Talent League Girls level. However that breakneck speed and reliability in the back half is what has attracted clubs to Brewer, whose dad Matt coaches Casey Demons in the VFLW.
