KIEREN Parnell finally got some consistency into his game in terms of match fitness, having suffered two previous ACL injuries. A classy medium midfielder/defender who is now searching for consistency on the field - Parnell can play in multiple roles. A good size at 188cm, Parnell is still only 20 and has years ahead of him should clubs take a chance on the mature utility. He has only recently returned to the field with St Mary's in the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL), coming through unscathed in his season 2019/20 debut and providing great dash on the outside. Along with his intercept marking and clean hands, as well as his ability at ground level, Parnell can have an impact in multiple contests across the ground. His kicking is a self-proclaimed area of improvement, but is something he can work on at AFL level. Once a great hope from the Top End, Parnell has plenty of talent and will look to showcase it with a good month of footy right before the draft.
STRENGTHS: Intercept marking, clean hands, ground balls, size
IMPROVEMENTS: Durability, kicking
