A high impact-per-possession player, Ry Cantwell is not a huge ball-winner, but certainly makes the most of his chances. A real 'moments' type operator, Cantwell has all the weapons that scream upside to AFL clubs. Boasting explosive speed and outstanding athleticism, Cantwell blitzed the National Draft Combine across the board, and further cemented his athletic capabilities in the minds of clubs.

Though often stationed on a wing or half-forward, Cantwell hits the scoreboard consistently and takes the game on. While his hurt factor is high, his production is low, but has been an area of growth along with his consistency. He is a good size at 187cm, so it would not be surprising to see him taken in the National Draft, but may slide to the Rookie Draft as a developable prospect with undeniable talent and flair.
