Leagues: WAFL Colts

Melbourne father-son candidate Taj Woewodin has been nominated by the Dees heading into draft, and it is not hard to see the appeal. Woewodin is a versatile prospect with good athleticism, work rate and leadership which holds him in good stead heading into the next level, having put out consistent performances across both the WAFL Colts and at representative level in all thirds of the ground. He’ll be a blank canvas for the club to turn into what they want.

As skipper of a stacked Sharks Colts side, Woewodin developed at a strong rate throughout the year, averaging 22.7 disposals, 5.1 marks, and 4.7 tackles per his 15 outings. With his ability to play on all three lines and prove a reliable figure at all levels, the 18-year-old is a selfless player who works hard and is reaping the rewards for his effort. While not always outwardly damaging, Woewodin has worked on his inside game and can gain good meterage with his run and penetrating kick on the outer.
