2023 ANZ Premiership: Team of the Season – Contenders
AFTER a year of excellent performances across the ANZ Premiership, it is time to see who is in contention to make the final Rookie Me Central Team of the Year for 2023.
Below you will see all the 18 players who are in contention to make the final Team of the Season, listed by their club. There were some stipulations in creating the list.
The first stipulation is that this final Team of the Season is based on how many times a player made the Team of the Week. Therefore, which team they came from or any other factor played no part in determining who made the Team of the Season squad. This includes performances in the finals.
This is why the Tactix, who finished fourth, have the most players in the squad, and why the last placed Steel have the same number of players in the squad as the first placed Mystics. It all came down to how many times the player made the Team of the Week.
