2023 SSN | Round 4 preview: Which teams will rise and give life to their seasons?

ANOTHER weekend, another round of exciting Suncorp Super Netball action. As it hits the one month mark of the season, it is a good chance to sit back and take stock of where the first few weeks have gone for each team.

As for this weekend, there are a lot of potentially tantalising match ups. This weekend opens with a clash in Melbourne between the Vixens and the Lightning.

The Vixens are finally getting going in 2023, while the Lightning were looking like a much more improved side this year before being very uncompetitive last weekend against Adelaide. Will the Vixens just keep building or will we see the Lightning return to the form they showed in the first fortnight of the season?

The first match in an Easter Sunday double header sees two winless sides in Collingwood and Queensland do battle in Melbourne. Both these sides have ha their moments this year, but they have both had times where they have been really disappointing. Which version of each team will we see on Sunday and which team will end their winless run?

The second half of the Easter Sunday double header sees the Adelaide Thunderbirds take on the GIANTS. Adelaide will go into the match as favourites, but the GIANTS have come close to a win a couple of times this season so will they finally get over the line this weekend?

This match also sees a return to Netball SA Stadium, and everyone involved will certainly be hoping for a less disastrous afternoon than the last time there was action at the stadium.

Moving on to Monday and the last match of the weekend sees the Swifts hosting the Fever. The Swifts finally got a win on the board last week, but they arguably have the toughest task in Super Netball this week in taking on the Fever. However the Swifts are at home so that makes it slightly easier.
