Following another impactful performance, Goldsworthy now leads the competition in four major categories; disposals, kicks, tackles and inside 50s. In Round 5, she was top for kicks (21) and inside 50s (eight), sharing the latter honour with Calder Cannons co-captain Reese Sutton.

Teammate Keeley Skepper was also in fine form despite Murray’s loss to Calder, racking up a round-high 32 disposals. Bottom-age gun Ava Jordan turned in a similar feat, going unbeaten for her 19 handballs from a disposal haul just one shy of Skepper’s – also in a loss.

It was Tasmania who took down Jordan’s Northern Knights, spearheaded by Georgia Clark. The Player of the Week was unstoppable in attack, taking eight marks and booting four goals to feature atop the stats sheet. She was equalled by Eastern’s Alyssia Pisano for goals and Geelong’s Analea McKee for marks, as all three players contributed to respective wins.

Continuing the theme of under-age prominence, Geelong defender Sara Howley again showed promise and found herself with a competition-best of nine rebound 50s this weekend. Fellow 2006-born prospect Suwindi Buckley also ended up with strong numbers, laying 15 tackles to bring her average up to 12 in two games. Rounding out this week’s leaders, Krystal Russell proved too big and strong as she won a whopping 36 hitouts.
