Jets soar into RMC Medal top 10
A PAIR of Western Jets have jumped into to Rookie Me Central Medal top 10, after picking up maximum votes in Round 9. Namely, forward Logan Morris and midfielder Jake Smith are rocketing up the standings, taking their tallies to 16 votes apiece.

Morris made an emphatic return to action in the Jets’ 60-point upset win over Eastern, booting four goals from 12 disposals and nine marks. Meanwhile, Smith racked up a game-high 28 disposals, eight marks and six inside 50s to continue his hot streak of form.
Elsewhere, Gippsland Power star and top 10 draft prospect Zane Duursma nabbed four votes to move into third on the overall leaderboard, while Eastern bottom-ager Josh Smillie was again amongst it to move clear in second. They are separated by a single vote.
Both trail runaway leader Colby McKercher by a fair distance yet, with the Tasmania Devils midfielder adjudged best afield in all five of his Talent League outings. He hasn’t played in the competition since Round 7, missing Tasmania’s last two games while on Allies duty.
Morris and Smith are among the first of two top 10 bottlenecks. The pair is tied with Sandringham skipper Will Brown in equal-fourth place, while Angus Hastie, Jagga Smith, and Darcy Wilson all sit one vote back in equal-seventh.
The likes of Mahmoud Taha (Calder Cannons) and George Stevens (GWV Rebels) polled in Round 9 to top their regions’ tallies, with Tasmania still comfortably leading the way in the way of teams with the most total votes on 76. The Devils have at least one game in hand on the other 12 full-time sides.
