FORM

Claremont essentially secured second place after putting it back in the Tigers’ control with a win over Subiaco last week. Though not completely convincing like the Peel Thunder victory, now all Claremont has to do it win to earn a double chance. East Perth has avoided the wooden spoon in its second season, and will want to finish off on a high.

TEAMS

CHANGES

Claremont has wheeled out the changes for the clash, bringing in a number of crucial players. Among them are midfielders Emily Bonser and Claudia Wright, as well as young gun Juliet Kelly, experienced utility Rachel Ortlepp and Laura Cinnani. The Tigers will be without reigning Dhara Kerr Medallist Jayme Harken and tall utility Anjelique Raison for the clash, as well as Charlotte Tompkin, Tazma Hutson and Bridie Garlick.

East Perth has made the two changes with Courtney Lindgren and Kiahn Perry replacing Tierrah Miller and Havana Milner.

AFLW DRAFT TALENT

The return of Wright is an crucial one, with Kelly also capable to playing in multiple positions and being a smooth-mover. Otherwise over-age tall Bec Anderson continues her development at the Tigers, while East Perth duo Lucy Greenwood and Bianca Rogers are the Royals’ two State Academy members.

PREDICTION

Claremont looms as too strong here even with some patchy form over the past two months. The Tigers just need to win to secure second and that should happen with the long season catching up with the Royals who had been brave for the most part but have tired of late.
