#7 Brooke Kelly
Forward | 168cm | 17/08/2009
Stats: 12 disposals, 2 marks, 2 tackles, 2 clearances, 1 inside 50, 1 goal, 7 behinds
It was a potential massive day at the office had the double bottom-ager found her range, but clearly with seven behinds from eight scoring shots, it was just a case of bad luck and inaccuracy. The left-footer was entitled to most of the shots she took, and there were a few that were not far off including a poster. Her sidestep in traffic is a trait that stands out, and she is a promising talent for the future as an Under 16s All-Australian.
#9 Lily Milner
Forward/Midfielder | 172cm | 25/01/2008
Stats: 19 disposals, 8 tackles, 8 clearances, 5 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s
Best on ground in the win, Milner provided a nice balance of offensive and defensive traits, applying enormous defensive pressure at the coalface and when rotated forward. Her stoppage work lifted in the match, as did her defensive running capacity that allowed her to win a couple of huge holding the ball free kicks. Has a great technical base and can play across all three lines.
#10 Grace Dillow
Midfielder | 167cm | 03/06/2008
Stats: 20 disposals, 1 mark, 3 tackles, 5 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s
Worked well in tandem with Milner when around the ball and showed some slick hands under pressure. A few times she just threw the ball on the boot to clear the danger, but with time and space is effective by foot and can have damaging hurt factor. A facilitator who does her best work with ball in hand.
#19 Ella Stoddart
Defender/Forward | 174cm | 30/01/2007
Stats: 16 disposals, 3 marks, 2 tackles, 1 hitouts, 2 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50, 2 behinds
Started in defence before moving into attack for the second half as Gippsland was on top, but just a little too inaccurate. She saved an early goal by using her body well one-on-one in the defensive goalsquare, and cleared the danger on a couple of occasions. Though not her natural position after the main break, Stoddart worked into space well and linked up effective with teammates. While she didn’t kick a goal – just one behind from a set shot – she was solid throughout the match.

#29 Rebecca Fitzpatrick
Defender/Defender | 172cm | 31/01/2007
Stats: 14 disposals, 3 marks, 2 tackles, 2 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s
Started on-ball then spent a lot of time in defence, but roamed up the ground to be an option as a kick behind play. Time and time again she mopped up or got into good positions to intercept, and looked to get her side back on the offensive. Has some quick hands under pressure.
#32 Abby Hobson
Forward | 174cm | 11/09/2007
Stats: 15 disposals, 4 marks, 3 tackles, 3 inside 50s, 2 goals, 2 behinds
Becoming somewhat of a first quarter specialist, Hobson was on the board early with the opening goal of the game via a clever snap in the goalsquare. She made it two thanks to a strong mark off good positioning 25m out, converting the subsequent set shot. Really should have had one more in the third term that pushed wide from a relatively straightforward set shot, with her checkside first term snap the other behind. Is a nice field kick up the ground as well.
#33 Maya Crestani
Ruck | 184cm | 02/08/2007
Stats: 8 disposals, 1 mark, 4 tackles, 19 hitouts, 2 clearances, 2 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50
The athletic ruck showed some great defensive nous to save a goal on the goalline early, and work back to drop into the hole when required. In the ruck, Crestani was able to get first hands to it more often than not and execute some set plays, with her follow-up work and clean hands below her knees effective for a tall in the match.
#36 Chelsea Sutton
Midfielder/Forward | 169cm | 16/11/2007
Stats: 15 disposals, 3 marks, 7 tackles, 4 clearances, 8 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50
Cracked in hard around the ball and provided consistent effort as always. Sutton’s two-way running ability and defensive pressure stands out, and she was able to find the ball all over the field. Strong one-on-one be it in the air or at ground level and plays her role, making teammates better.
#10 Macy Watkins
Midfielder | 172cm | 24/05/2007
Stats: 23 disposals, 3 marks, 5 tackles, 8 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 3 rebound 50s
The hard-working midfielder was a constant for the Dragons, showing exceptionally clean hands off the deck and in close to pick the right options through traffic or when being tackled. She got back to help the defence, and also went forward to to influence potential scores, nailing a brilliant pass to Sharp on the lead for a goal assist. The Dragons’ best across four quarters.
#28 Amy Smith
Wing/Defender | 172cm | 07/11/2007
Stats: 15 disposals, 6 marks, 4 tackles, 1 clearance, 2 rebound 50s, 1 goal, 1 behind
Smith’s first half was absolutely enormous, racking up 12 disposals and stretching the field well across the board. The wing worked into defence to mop up, but also knew when to drift forward, finding space to kick a set shot goal late in quarter two. She was doing great work up the other end as well, getting a touch in to stop a potential opposition major, and looked on track for a massive game. Her second half was subdued, with the ball mostly on the other side of the ground, or with Gippsland firmly in control.
#29 Isla Tucker
Defender | 168cm | 11/07/2008
Stats: 18 disposals, 3 marks, 2 tackles, 1 clearance, 6 rebound 50s
The bottom-age defender just did her thing and was able to be effective coming out of the back 50. She showed courage to be crunched in a tackle after absorbing the heat but bouncing straight up, and was clean by hand or foot. A lot of her touches involved either the kickout or next disposal, looking to clear the danger.
#44 Sienna Sharp
Tall Forward | 177cm | 30/09/2007
Stats: 14 disposals, 8 marks, 5 tackles, 2 hitouts, 1 clearance, 1 inside 50, 1 goal
Loomed as a dangerous target inside 50, but had to work further afield as the game went on with the Power having ascendancy. She was strong overhead, picked her leading lanes well, and was able to convert a set shot goal in the third term. Sharp lead by example with the skipper also helping out in defence, with one such example being a well-timed spoil on Hobson at the top of the defensive 50.
#59 Maya Duane
Midfielder/Forward | 180cm | 16/03/2009
Stats: 23 disposals, 3 tackles, 1 hitout, 6 clearances, 5 inside 50s, 4 rebound 50s, 1 behind
Another lively performance from the double bottom-age star who found the ball inside and ourside of midfield and used her booming kick to full effect. Duane’s hands out of congestion and ability to extract the ball, burst away and kick clear was very good, even if from the first centre bounce in quarter four she headed the wrong way. One of the best for the Dragons behind Watkins.

Tasmania Devils
Bendigo Pioneers
#1 Mischa Barwin
Forward/Midfielder | 167cm | 04/12/2007
Stats: 26 disposals, 2 marks, 4 tackles, 6 clearances, 5 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50
Barwin started the game on-ball and then worked forward where she was able to play in her facilitator role linking between midfield and attack. She possessed some clean hands and a determined nature to back herself at every opportunity, even when caught holding the ball unaware an opponent was closing down on her in her peripherals trying to step around another opponent. Set up a few scoring opportunities and finished off her Coates Talent League Girls season on a high.
#9 Mia Anderson
Midfielder | 171cm | 14/02/2007
Stats: 25 disposals, 2 marks, 7 tackles, 5 clearances, 2 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s
Another top-ager who capped off a really productive 2025 season, Anderson was able to influence across the ground and particularly in close where she applied plenty of defensive pressure and extracted the ball time and time again. Anderson’s second and third efforts were a highlight, and her best work was done in tight situations, feeding it out to teammates or making them better.
#15 Priya Bowering
Midfielder/Defender | 169cm | 02/01/2007
Stats: 19 disposals, 2 marks, 2 tackles, 3 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50, 1 goal
Bowering has had bigger games, but still played her role effectively, applying pressure and showed a nice blend of strength and speed. Her ability to arch the back in the defensive half and take off down the ground was outstanding, and she did it a couple of times behind the ball where she utilised her deceptive explosiveness than makes her such a damaging prospect.
#22 Matilda Lange
Midfielder/Wing | 170cm | 30/01/2009
Stats: 30 disposals, 4 marks, 6 tackles, 11 clearances, 8 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s, 1 behind
The 2009-born prospect showed she will be perfectly ready to take over the midfield reigns when the above three players depart the side for higher levels. Winning our Coates Talent League Girls Palyer of the Week, Lange was massive all match in a clear best on ground performance. A knack for using both sides of her body, being clean and strong on the inside, and running all day was superb. Spent some time on a wing as well in the second half, squeezing up to add a number at the contest.
#26 Harriet Bingley
Forward | 174cm | 23/03/2007
Stats: 7 disposals, 3 marks, 1 tackle, 1 inside 50, 2 goals
Finished off her season with a couple of third quarter goals in what was a quieter game, but one where she maximised her opportunities. Bingley’s strength one-on-one and ability to position herself early was crucial, and she provided a key target inside 50, while holding her line well to be goalside or in the right spot against her opponent.
#2 Olivia Lacy
Midfielder/Defender | 169cm | 15/06/2007
Stats: 20 disposals, 4 marks, 8 tackles, 1 clearance, 1 inside 50, 4 rebound 50s
Lacy started on-ball and then went into defence where she was able to mop up and use her smarts to deliver effectively down the ground. Her contested work was very good, showing a great level of competitiveness, while also spreading into space to be an option for her teammates. Generally effective with ball in hand, Lacy covered the ground well and was a key cog in the Pioneers’ transitional game.
#5 Ava Bibby
Ruck/Forward | 186cm | 09/05/2007
Stats: 6 disposals, 1 mark, 4 tackles, 10 hitouts, 2 clearances, 2 goals
Started forward and kicked an early goal five minutes into the match with a long-rnage set shot. She spent time rotating into the ruck and showed great follow-up work, before kicking a major in the fourth quarter that was not the prettiest off the boot, but earned six points for effectiveness on the overlap.
#14 Lacey Nihill
Midfielder | 172cm | 01/05/2008
Stats: 29 disposals, 7 marks, 7 tackles, 8 clearances, 5 inside 50s, 3 rebound 50s
Had a huge game for the Pioneers and was critical around the ball as Bendigo’s best midfielder, extracting it consistently and trying to will the ball forward. Nihill has a nice burst when she has it, and the smarts to get into ball-winning spots on the overlap. Found plenty of space, taking seven marks for the match, but got her hands dirty as well with her defensive pressure be it at the coalface or around the ground.

#23 Ella Jeffrey
Defender/Midfielder | 167cm | 09/08/2007
Stats: 29 disposals, 8 marks, 7 tackles, 2 clearances, 3 inside 50s, 8 rebound 50s
The hard-running defender was sensational with her aggressive approach, always looking to deliver by foot then follow up for a secondary possession, often via hand and gain more distance down the ground. Jeffrey’s run-down tackle in the back pocket saved a goal, and she backed herself time and time again to run from the defensive goalsquare and clear to a safe zone. Worked up to the wing on occasions as well.

Dandenong Stingrays
#1 Isabella Davies
Defender/Midfielder I 162cm I 29/10/2006
Stats: 23 disposals, 2 marks, 7 tackles, 5 clearances, 1 inside 50, 5 rebound 50s
The over-age prospect started the game with a brilliant run-down tackle on Nalu Brothwell midway through the first term, and when on-ball showed clean and great defensive intent. Having spent time at VFLW level this season, Davies’ experience shone through, and she was able to dispose of the ball even when tackled or under pressure.
#7 Maggie Johnstone
Midfielder/Forward I 171cm I 06/06/2007
Stats: 24 disposals, 2 marks, 4 tackles, 5 clearances, 6 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50, 1 behind
A standout performance from the Vic Country representative and first round prospect, Johnstone’s only negative was getting caught holding the ball on a number of occasions. She won one back herself, and her determination to breakthrough tackles or stoppages helps get her team on the front foot, so is worth the risk. Spent some time forward with only one behind off a handball receive, but did her best work around the ball, even helping out in defence.
#9 Jovie Skewes-Clinton
Tall Forward I 176cm I 15/11/2007
Stats: 12 disposals, 3 marks, 6 tackles, 1 inside 50, 2 goals
Has locked into that full-forward role for the Rebels and was able to convert back-to-back goals during the second term. Her first came via a great one-on-one mark where she launched a goal from 45m out, before kicking a second just three minutes later on the move from a tight angle. A couple of other chances went begging a little, but showed great competitiveness and courage as well as being fleet of foot.
#16 Brook Ward
Defender | 170cm | 18/04/2006
Stats: 19 disposals, 3 marks, 4 tackles, 8 rebound 50s
Another over-ager who impressed was Ward in the back 50, mopping up and saving the day on numerous occasions. Some of her longer kicks went a little astray clearing the target and bouncing out of bounds, but generally she placed a focus on ball retention and playing the safer possessions. Worked up to the wing on a couple of occasions, but largely competed strongly in the defensive half of the ground.
#17 Milly Shortal
Midfielder | 175cm | 24/06/2008
Stats: 14 disposals, 4 tackles, 2 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50
One of the more exciting bottom-agers for next season, Shortal was terrific defensively, and then when she had the ball, exploded away and looked to catch the Stingrays’ defence on the overlap. She set up a goal to Skewes-Clinton, and was desperate at ground level, working hard to find the ball across the ground and be a high impact-per-posseesion player.
#1 Evelyn Connolly
Forward/Midfielder | 169cm | 26/05/2007
Stats: 10 disposals, 3 marks, 4 tackles, 2 goals, 3 behinds
The dangerous forward had a hit and miss day in front of the big sticks, kicking two majors while missing a few chances as well. She does not need much time to line up the goals, and has a great flexibility in how she kicks them as well. Connolly’s forward craft and field kicking stack up too, while her aggressive nature is great to see inside 50.
#5 Mizuki Brothwell
Defender | 175cm | 22/10/2007
Stats: 21 disposals, 4 marks, 2 tackles, 1 clearance, 2 inside 50s, 7 rebound 50s
A force to be reckoned with behind the ball, Brothwell intercepted plenty and was able to deliver some piercing balls down the ground. Exceptional by hand or foot, the skill execution is an area Brothwell has continued to develop over the last 18 months and can consistently make good decisions when under pressure. Her tackle on Johnstone late in the first term earned a holding the ball free and she provided overlap run for the Stingrays.
#7 Lillian Snow
Midfielder/Forward | 169cm | 10/07/2007
Stats: 20 disposals, 4 marks, 5 tackles, 5 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 1 behind
Arguably the most unlucky in the draft class not to get a combine invitation, Snow still went about her business having an impact in a big way. She missed a set shot in the first term she should have nailed, but her strength, aerial ability and stoppage craft were all big ticks in the game. Her centre clearance work in particular stood out, with a whopping four of her five clearances coming in that manner including the opening one in the second and fourth quarters.

#10 Matilda Argus
Midfielder/Defender | 166cm | 08/01/2007
Stats: 24 disposals, 3 marks, 5 tackles, 3 clearances, 6 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s
Stared on-ball and rotated to half-back where she could use her running capacity and kicking to full advantage. Often looking for a handball receive to take grass or spin out of trouble and deliver to the open option, Argus had some nice moves and was one of Dandenong’s best on the day. The left-footer can tidy up some of her decisions such as on the edge of half-time when already on her left side inside 50, handballed to a right-footer whose kick was smothered. Other than that, Argus had a big impact on the game and provided great run.
#12 Alice Cunnington
Forward/Midfielder | 174cm | 30/06/2008
Stats: 21 disposals, 3 tackles, 1 clearance, 9 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50, 1 behind
Looked lively in teh front half for the most part while rotating on-ball late in the match, Cunnington runs all day and finds the ball wherever she goes. A perfect high half-forward candidate, the bottom-ager pumps it inside 50 to scoring positions, and her tackle to win holding the ball in the third term by pinning the arm was simply sublime. She set up a goal from that free kick, and took the game on in a number of ways both with ball in hand, and in her pressure.
#15 Charlotte Gilmore
Wing | 172cm | 21/12/2007
Stats: 18 disposals, 1 mark, 5 tackles, 2 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 3 rebound 50s, 1 goal, 1 behind
Gilmore’s impressive top-age season continued with her two-way running earning her a goal on the move midway through the second term to respond to a Rebels’ major. She was clean at ground level and set up a few teammates inside 50, with her neat touches and ability to quickly transition into a defensive stance very important in the game. Worked all over the field and found it in each third too.
- Team
Geelong Falcons
Oakleigh Chargers
#8 Chloe Bryant
Midfielder/Defender | 165cm | 12/09/2006
Stats: 18 disposals, 4 marks, 2 tackles, 3 clearances, 3 inside 50s, 6 rebound 50s
The over-age prospect provided some important calm and composure behind the ball and was a slippery customer in traffic. Breaking through numerous tackles at one stage during the third term, she almost got free before having to rush a quick handball off that was intercepted with the numbers around her. Most of the game Bryant provided an outlet to run off half-back, and she worked up to the wing to keep the ball moving forward too.
#9 Georgia Tyrrell
Midfielder/Defender | 168cm | 04/08/2007
Stats: 24 disposals, 1 mark, 11 tackles, 3 clearances, 2 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s
The Geelong Falcons skipper and Vic Country MVP was at her tenacious best, laying a trademark 11 tackles and competing well in the air even if she did not mark it. Boasting clean hands at the coalface and second and third efforts consistently, Tyrrell was arguably her side’s best, leading from the front all day and putting her body on the line.

#12 Meg Lappin
Key Defender | 180cm | 21/09/2007
Stats: 14 disposals, 6 marks, 1 tackle, 1 inside 50
The potential Brisbane Lions father-daughter showed off her athleticism from defence, often marking and then bursting away to take grass. Strong in the air but explosive for her size at ground level, Lappin has the athletic traits that catch the eye. Not a massive accumulator, but stands out with her ability to move the ball quickly in transition.
#38 Stella Huxtable
Midfielder/Forward | 172cm | 22/12/2007
Stats: 21 disposals, 5 tackles, 4 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s
Spent a lot of her time helping out behind the ball and trying to clear down the field, with limited opportunities when forward. Forced to dump the ball on the boot and clear for distance at times, she was quick by hand and strong in traffic even if the final execution might have been a touch off. Huxtable has a neat burst that she showed late in the match with a run down the wing, as she worked hard across the entire ground.
#2 Chloe Thorn
Midfielder/Forward | 167cm | 07/09/2007
Stats: 12 disposals, 2 marks, 11 tackles, 1 clearance, 1 inside 50, 1 rebound 50, 1 goal
Thorn started on-ball then spent a lot of time forward, applying similar defensive pressure in both roles. She had an early set shot off a holding the ball free kick that only just fell short, before nailing a closer shot after a good mark inside 50. Her clean hands and aggressive nature were highlights, and the talented utility oozed the see-ball, get-ball intent of a team-first player.
#4 Zara Neuwirth
Key Defender | 183cm | 06/07/2007
Stats: 10 disposals, 4 marks, 1 clearance, 3 rebound 50s
Played her role in defence and provided some run out of the back half, taking the game on when possible. She saved a goal with a good touch on the goalline during the third term, and even got involved in one-twos. If she did turn it over by foot, Neuwirth worked hard to win the ball back immediately for her side, being a strong intercept force.
#9 Chloe Bown
Midfielder/Forward | 173cm | 20/12/2007
Stats: 33 disposals, 8 marks, 6 tackles, 3 clearances, 8 inside 50s, 2 behinds
A stat-stuffing performance that will come as no surprise to anyone with the Vic Metro MVP having the ball on a string yet again. While not winning a stack of clearances as she so often does around the ball, Bown’s spread and ability to find space really stood out in Werribee. She often looked for younger sister Scarlett forward of centre, and no matter where she goes or what she does, the ball just finds her, racking up the pill with ease.
#11 Isabella Mazzei
Midfielder | 170cm | 06/06/2008
Stats: 22 disposals, 1 mark, 14 tackles, 6 clearances, 3 inside 50s
Another great defensive performance from the bottom-ager who was tough and clean around the stoppages. She can sometimes bomb the ball forward, but does have a nice burst as well to link up with one-two’s such as an early combination on the wing with Chloe Bown. Found plenty of it, and was fierce with her tackling pressure and stoppage extraction.
#26 Teagan Murtic
Midfielder/Forward | 169cm | 22/10/2007
Stats: 23 disposals, 4 marks, 5 tackles, 3 clearances, 2 inside 50s, 3 rebound 50s, 2 goals
A standout alongside Chloe Bown, Murtic not only found the ball on the inside but also got into space to hit the scoreboard twice up forward. Her first major came just after the quarter time siren via a set shot from close range, before kicking another one later in the game to open the fourth term. Has reinvented herself as a genuine utility and could be a pressure forward as well as a defensive midfielder.
#32 Scarlett Bown
Tall Forward | 178cm | 22/09/2009
Stats: 18 disposals, 3 marks, 3 tackles, 1 hitout, 2 inside 50s, 2 goals, 2 behinds
The youngest of the Bown siblings, Scarlett was able to have another eye-catching game with Bailee Martin absent due to school football. The 2009-born Bown is taller than her sister and can create quite a presence inside 50 with strong leading patterns and a reliable set shot goal. She did miss a couple, but nailed two across the middle quarters, while setting up other teammates in the process.
#50 Cleo Barbakas
Ruck/Key Forward | 182cm | 07/01/2009
Stats: 13 disposals, 5 marks, 2 tackles, 5 hitouts, 1 clearance, 3 inside 50s, 2 goals, 2 behinds
Worked both up forward and pinch-hitting in the ruck to support Jessica Owen, providing a marking target around the ground. When deep, Barbakas’ ability to protect the ball drop on the lead was important, and the double bottom-ager finished with a pair of majors. She could have had another one or two that just missed, but she was lively, and her athleticism for a player of her size also stands out.
- Team
Northern Knights
Western Jets
#1 Olivia Gorman
Midfielder/Forward | 168cm | 25/10/2007
Stats: 34 disposals, 7 marks, 2 tackles, 11 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50, 1 behind
A mammoth game from Gorman who was everywhere for the Knights from start to finish. A career-high 34 touches at the level saw the inside midfielder dominate around the ball, then rest forward and still get plenty of disposals there. A snap on goal during the second term missed, with a set shot late in the game just falling short, but Gorman did set up a number of scoring chances with her teammates. Covered the ground well and also spread into space too where she took seven marks.
#2 Maddison Meagher
Wing/Defender | 162cm | 02/08/2008
Stats: 14 disposals, 3 marks, 4 tackles, 1 clearance, 2 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50, 1 goal
Meagher submitted her Goal of the Year claim during the third term where she received the handball and just put the afterburners on to explode past numerous Jets and quick literally run more than 50m to the goalline where she kicked a much needed major. Her execution at times can be tidied up, but the metres she gains is remarkable, and her work as a wing/half-back is so valuable to any team.
#7 Scarlett Johnson
Wing/Defender | 175cm | 26/11/2007
Stats: 27 disposals, 5 marks, 4 tackles, 1 clearance, 2 inside 50s, 6 rebound 50s, 1 behind
It was much of the same for the red-hot Johnson who just did her thing across four quarters and provided both an intercepting force, and one who could turn defence into offence. Her aerial ability and work rate were both on display, and her performance would have been a best-on effort had it not been for Gorman’s stat-stuffing performance. An incredible top-age season from the Vic Metro representative.
#19 Olivia Jesser
Forward | 168cm | 04/01/2007
Stats: 15 disposals, 4 marks, 3 tackles, 1 hitout, 1 clearance, 1 inside 50, 2 goals, 1 behind
Donned the long sleeves to start the game, and while she did not have a lot of luck in the first half, earned reward for her hard running with a couple of majors in the fourth term. Both were from strong marks and relatively straightforward set shots, but Jesser’s determination to find gaps in the offence and lead into them was impressive.
#23 Phoebe Hargreaves
Midfielder/Forward | 161cm | 15/07/2007
Stats: 14 disposals, 4 marks, 5 tackles, 3 clearances, 3 inside 50s, 1 goal
The Northern Knights skipper rotated between attack and midfield, applying strong defensive pressure and doing all the team things. She got just reward for her hard running by converting a set shot goal from 25m out during the third term, and though Hargreaves did not win a heap of the ball was able to have her moments such as a nice smother on the wing midway through quarter three.
#4 Ruby Jones
Wing | 171cm | 02/03/2008
Stats: 20 disposals, 7 marks, 5 tackles, 2 clearances, 2 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s
Having a good couple of weeks, the tall bottom-wing has emerged of late as a player with some impressive traits. She is strong overhead – even taking a contested intercept mark at one point – and working up and down the ground effectively. Jones holds her width well off a wing, and she is able to get her hands on the ball with her running patterns.
#5 Tayla Olivieri
Midfielder | 159cm | 14/02/2008
Stats: 24 disposals, 3 marks, 2 tackles, 4 clearances, 3 inside 50s, 2 rebound 50s, 1 goal
An ultra-consistent season from the tenacious small midfielder who got forward to kick a goal from a set shot in the first term, and looked to have a second early in the third before it was marked on the last line. She got caught holding the ball on occasions and did give away seven free kicks, but plays on the edge and is unfazed with a competitive focus.
#9 Kiara Boyd
Forward/Midfielder | 173cm | 02/06/2008
Stats: 17 disposals, 3 marks, 7 tackles, 3 clearances, 6 inside 50s, 1 behind
A player with class, Boyd provided a marking target inside 50, and spent time further afield to impact the game. She has clean hands in the air or at ground level, and boasts a slick sidestep to get out of trouble. Even when marking the ball between four Knights she did not panic, and while Boyd was unable to hit the scoreboard, she did apply fantastic defensive pressure in the front half for the Jets.

#26 Piper Dixon
Forward | 159cm | 16/10/2008
Stats: 11 disposals, 1 mark, 5 tackles, 2 clearances, 3 inside 50s, 1 rebound 50, 1 goal
Dixon’s day started with a strong tackle in the opening minute which set the tone for her performance. Midway through the quarter, the small forward received it by hand in the pocket and delivered goal from a tight angle to get her team up and about. While not able to add to that total, she consistently provided leads and applied pressure inside 50 when the ball was in her area.
#30 Alex McBride-Loane
Defender | 174cm | 03/04/2007
Stats: 18 disposals, 6 marks, 1 tackle, 6 rebound 50s
Held a firm line in the defensive 50 and provided an aerial contest each time the ball went in there, usually able to compose herself and look to switch to a safe option. Pushing up to the wing on a couple of occasions, McBride-Loane plays with an aggressive style, but knows when to peel off and when to double back. Strong overhead with a nice vertical leap.
