2026 Northern Territory U18 Girls squad released
A MASSIVE 50-player strong squad has been released as part of the Northern Territory Academy Under 18 Girls pathway. Featuring a host of over, top, bottom and double bottom-agers, the team that will compete in the Coates Talent League Girls pathway will also have a number of players vying for Allies spots at Under 18s level, or the Territory’s National Development Championships team.

Among the over-agers to have already represented the Territory on a number of occasions are former National Academy members Marika Carlton and Danika McDonald, and ex-Allies Shakaila Gardiner-Dunn and Taelah Smith, while the likes of Bonnie Brown and Cate Twaddle also come with experiences from their top-age season.
Lakhyah Hill represented the Allies last season and only turned 17 in late December, now in her top-age season. She is one of the players to watch alongside a couple of double bottom-agers in Peggy Rock and Layla May. The Territory’s 2027 AFLW Draft crop has a few players to keep track of for the coming seasons with triple bottom-ager Grace Anstess one of the youngest players in the side and a name to remember.
Among the other promising talents who have earned Rising Star nominations in the NTFL Women’s competitions are Jorja Davey, Jenara Grant, Daisha Daly, Aaliyah Mukhlis, Jessica Hardwick, Rosie Wilson and Lailanie Rioli. Best on ground performers from the All-Star Under 18 Girls Futures match Amber Quinn and Taneisha John-Forrest are also in the squad.
The team will face off against a number of Coates Talent League Girls opponents this season with all fixtures to be announced in due time.
