PROFILE:

Holly Britton is the younger sister of West Coast's Jaide, and though both have had their greatest successes on a wing, the pair are very different players. Both use the ball well and have the footy smarts that come naturally to them, but while Jaide is the explosive outside runner with high-level endurance, Holly is a greater contested ball-winner without those top-end athletic traits.

What the younger Britton offers is a point of difference to a lot of other wingers out there. Unlike many who might prefer sticking to the outside ball, Britton is a natural inside midfielder so extracting the ball from the coalface is something that is not foreign to the Peel Thunder midfielder. A role change from the inside to wing this season was a roll of the dice given Britton does lack those athletic qualities, but it worked well.

By the end of the year, she had produced an eye-catching campaign, and there is no doubt she is a superb ball user both inside and outside the contest, and her vision and footy IQ standout on the football field.
