ROUND 4 of the 2022 NAB League Girls season saw an even spread of stars top the charts in a stats sense. Ham tipped the 30-disposal mark for a second week running as her Jets won big, a haul which included round-highs of 15 handballs and 13 inside 50s. The explosive prospect was at her fearsome best through the corridor, proving impossible to stop as she stormed forward and booted Western into attack.
Her partner-in-crime Charlotte Baskaran got back on top of the kicks column this week, drawing level with Greater Western Victoria (GWV) captain Lilli Condon on 23. In the same game, Rebels defender Jamie-Lee Speakman was resolute with eight marks, taken mostly on the last line of defence.
Round 4 Player of the Week honours belonged to Bridget Deed though, as the Eastern Ranges over-ager notched an unbeaten 35 disposals to help continue her side’s winning run. Meanwhile, teammate Georgia Knight shot out of the blocks on debut with three goals, a feat matched only by Tasmanian forward Bellah Parker.
Elsewhere, Geelong’s Mia Fuller got stuck in to lay a whopping 16 tackles in the Falcons’ dramatic comeback win over Oakleigh, while Murray top-ager Keeley Skepper was kick-first in her round-high tally of 10 rebound 50s. Calder’s Ellie Sbeghen rounded out this week’s stats leaders, after earning 23 hitouts as the Cannons downed Gippsland.
