SEVERN STARS

It was another mid-range season from the Stars in 2021, and the side will look to continue their rebuild in 2022 with a somewhat new-look squad. The Stars have particularly focused their attentions on the front-end for next season with a couple of huge gets, while the return of some solid combinations through the midcourt will assist in their pursuit for greater success. With four wins to their name last season, there is plenty for the side to focus on during the 2022 season.

2022 SQUAD

Coach: Melissa Bessell

Newcomers: Cat Tuivaiti (Strathclyde Sirens), Katie Harris (Wasps Netball), Michelle Drayne (London Pulse, Summer Artman (Team Bath)

STRATHCLYDE SIRENS

Arguably the most improved franchise in 2021, the Sirens have assembled a cohesive squad for 2022as they look to continue their way up the ladder. Whilst they could not always match it with the top teams, the Sirens provided a real threat in the middle of the ladder and showcased their great depth and rate of development as the season went on, weathering the storm of injuries and will look to use their extra burst of experience to their advantage next season.

2022 SQUAD

Coach: Lesley MacDonald

Newcomers: Abby Tyrrell (Celtic Dragons)

SURREY STORM

The Storm is brewing for season 2022, with some huge acquisitions that are sure to elevate the squad to be a real contender. With just three wins to their name in 2021, the Storm has acquired some critical front-end assets that could lead them in the right direction. Realistically, the Storm had nothing to lose coming into the signing period and everything to gain after a couple of shaky seasons, so will be a real fighter as the 2022 season arrives.

2022 SQUAD

Coach: Mikki Austin

Newcomers: Peace Proscovia (Sunshine Coast Lightning), Sophia Candappa (Wasps Netball)

TEAM BATH

One of the leading franchises throughout the 2021 season, unfortunately Team Bath somewhat fell off toward the end of the season and lost their mantle atop the ladder in a disappointing finish. The side is sure to look to go one better in 2022 but has lost a couple of defensive figures, so will need to rebuild their back-end connections if they hope to reach finals once more. That being said, Bath has assembled a hugely threatening squad so will be a tough task regardless of their losses.

2022 SQUAD

Coach: Anna Stembridge

Newcomers: Lily-May Catling (Wasps Netball)

Note – Bath has been granted a extension to sign their final defender

WASPS NETBALL

The Wasps had an intriguing signing period, seeing a number of major departures across all three areas of the court. That being said, they have built back up fairly well with some big acquisitions, as well as some exciting elevations, The side may look different in 2022, but the Wasps can almost never be underestimated with a strong winning mentality behind them and many of those success-driven players are still in the mix looking to head up the ladder once more.

2022 SQUAD
