NORTHERN Knights bottom-ager Ava Jordan was in exceptional form on Monday, racking up career best numbers to feature atop the charts after the latest set of NAB League Girls fixtures. There were plenty more players who also rose to the occasion in Round 8, find out who as we take a look at all of this week’s stats leaders.

Despite her Knights going down by an even five goals, Jordan lead all comers with 35 disposals – a round high which included top figures of 22 kicks and eight inside 50s. At 148cm, the star midfielder packs a punch and was again Northern’s clear best player afield in amid a trying season.

Joining Jordan atop the inside 50s charts was Western jet Montana Ham. The AFLW Academy member continued her ominous form as Western secured a crucial victory on its road to finals. In the same game, Calder captain Reese Sutton matched Jordan’s figure of 22, but reached it via handballs upon racking up a game-high 26 touches.

Ham was also joined by a couple of Jets teammates as stat leaders this week. Winger Kiera Whiley clunked seven marks alongside fellow bottom-ager Georgia Clark – of Tasmania – while top-age tall Krystal Russell continued her control of the hitout count by winning another 27 in her side’s victory.

Clark and her Devils went down at the hands of Eastern, who was spearheaded by the crafty Charli Granville in attack. She booted three goals, standing clear atop the goalkicking tally for Round 8. Elsewhere, Oakleigh Chargers pair Charlotte Taylor (14 tackles) and Erin Woodford (eight rebound 50s) contributed round-high efforts despite not only playing in a loss, but also having their match cut short at three-quarter time.
