Blockbuster clash pits Dees against Mustangs

ONE round of Victorian Women’s Premier 1sts went down and the next is up, with teams hoping to either continue to turnaround their first matches of the season the previous week.

Plenty Valley v Ringwood
Yarrambat War Memorial Park
Sunday at 11am

Both sides will be looking to get their first win on the board this weekend.

Last season they faced each other twice for one win apiece.

In the first game in December, it was Ringwood who took the win and earned themselves a bonus point, while in the return fixture in January it was the Bats who got the win.

Melbourne v Box Hill
Albert Ground
Sunday at 11am

Both the Dees and Mustangs had fairly comfortable wins on the opening weekend, so will be looking to maintain their undefeated streaks.

This is the first time the sides have played each other this season, but last season they faced each other twice. In both clashes it was the Dees who were victorious, so will this streak continue this weekend?

Essendon Maribyrnong Park v Dandenong
Aberfeldie Park
Sunday at 11am

Essendon Maribyrnong Park are looking to finally get on the board this weekend after losing their opening round match to Carlton, while Dandenong are aiming to maintain their winning run after accounting for Plenty Valley first up.

This is the first time the sides have played each other this season, but last season they faced each othertwice. It was EMP who got the win both times last season, but with neither side having the Victorian talent they had playing in those games this time around, which way will the game go?

Carlton v Prahran
Princes Park #1
Sunday at 11am

The battle of the Blues vs the True Blues, it’ll be Carlton looking to keep a winning run going while Prahran are looking to make amends for their terrible loss to Box Hill last weekend.

Last season they faced each other for one win apiece. In November it was Carlton who got the win, while Prahran levelled the ledger second time around in January.
