AFTER Australia announced its squad for the upcoming series with South Africa, it is now the turn of its visitors to do the same.

The Proteas have announced their 15 player squad, and also have a new permanent captain, with Adelaide Striker Laura Wolvaardt earning the coveted honour.

Alongside Wolvaardt there are a few other names Australian fans will recognise, including Marizanne Kapp and Chloe Tryon.

One name that is missing from the list is Shabnim Ismail, with the quick not selected in the squad.

The Proteas will play a warm up match against the Governor-General’s XI at North Sydney Oval on January 24 before heading down to Canberra for the first T20 of the series three days later.
