Stat Leaders: 2022 NAB League Girls – Round 3
ROUND 3 of the 2022 NAB League Girls season saw an even spread of stars top the charts in a stats sense. Murray Bushrangers midfielder Zara Hamilton was among the standouts across the six games after her record-equalling performance, but there were plenty more players who also rose to the occasion in Round 3. Find out who as we take a look at all of this week’s stat leaders.

Hamilton has shot to the top of the 2022 tallies for disposals, kicks and handballs after an attritional performance against the Greater Western Victoria (GWV) Rebels on Sunday. Her 38 disposals and 26 kicks were competition-highs in Round 3, with Western Jets captain Charlotte Baskaran matching the disposal feat, and the overall equal NAB League Girls disposal record. The pair is now level with former Geelong Falcons midfielder Laura Gardiner for the most-ever touches in a NAB League Girls match.
Baskaran, who split her kicks and handballs evenly, was not topped for total handballs this week. There were few more impactful performers, but Geelong forward Analea McKee was right up there with her unbeaten high of five goals. Sandringham standout Sofia Hurley was another who put in a shift, but did so in a losing side with 16 tackles as the Dragons went down to Eastern.
Speaking of shifts, Dandenong winger Taylah Gatt returned phenomenal high speed efforts on the outer, registering nine inside 50s as the Stingrays downed Bendigo. Advancing from defence was Dragon, Georgia Foran, who added another 10 rebound 50s to the tally she continues to lead in 2022.
Aerially, promising Eastern tall Mia Austin knocked down 26 hitouts to further stamp her credentials. It wasn’t a tall who lead the marking charts though, with GWV defender Jamie-Lee Speakman proving solid in a tightly contested game to clunk nine marks.
